Mona Zaki Joins Film “Al Sarab”

Egyptian actress, Mona Zaki has recently joined the cast of the highly-anticipated film “Al Sarab”, who is set to begin shooting soon.

The film stars Ahmed El Sakka, Amr Abdul Gelil, Hend Sabry, Mona Zaki, Diab, Karim Fahmy, Asser Yassin, and others.

It is written by Omar Abdel Halim and directed by Ahmed Nader Galal.

The film will also feature Sherif Mounir, and Mahmoud Abdel-Moghni making a special appearance.

“Al Sarab” centers around the airstrike carried out by the army in Libya against ISIS.

Furthermore, the actress will also star in the Arabic-language remake of the 2016 hit Italian film “Perfect Strangers“.

First announced in late 2018, the “Perfect Strangers” remake has been twice postponed due to both the coronavirus pandemic and political situation in Lebanon. The movie is now set to begin production in February.

The film has been rewritten to set the story amid the coronavirus pandemic. It has been adapted by Gabriel Yammine and Wissam Smayra, the movie will be the latter’s debut feature film.

It also stars Nadine Labaki, Adel Karam, Eyad Nassar, Diamand Bou Abboud, and others.

Zaki was seen recently in film “The Black Box”.

On Monday, Zaki announced that she joined the L’Oréal Paris family and become the new media face for the Middle East and North Africa region.

"I am very excited to be joining L’Oréal Paris family as the official spokesperson and really looking forward for a great collaboration .. wait for our upcoming projects," she wrote on Instagram.
