We can hardly believe it, but Egyptian stars and one of the Arab world’s most beloved couple, Mona Zaki and Ahmed Helmy have been married for 17 years!

Zaki retweeted a post on Twitter about her and her husband, celebrating their wedding anniversary with a funny marriage analogy.

“Is that a life sentence? I did not feel it pass, all the love” she said jokingly.

The couple tied the knot on May 4, 2002, and maintain a strong relationship, despite being big stars.

The first link that proves that they are truly soulmates and are meant to be together, is that they share the same birthday.

They have their birthday on November 18; however, Helmy was born in 1970 and Zaki was born in 1976.

The beloved couple collaborated in three movies, the first was “Omar 2000”, which was followed by “Leh Khaltne Ahebk”, and the third was movie “sahar el layali”.

Zaki, 43, and Helmy, 50, got after a romantic love story after they maintained a strong bond of friendship for years, which turned into mutual recognition of love.

“Helmy confessed his love to me before I traveled to shoot movie “Africano”, and after taking time to think, the response came by confessing my love to him in South Africa. We got engaged after shooting was completed and we returned to Egypt,” she said in a television interview.

The three children Lilly, Selim, and Younes. Lilly, their eldest daughter, has been attracting the media outlets and people’s attention with her artistic talents and look—which is something that was noted to be sharing with her mother.

In 2019, Lilly’s photo session went viral on the internet, which many users on social media platforms remarked about Lilly’s look in the comments, saying that she looks a lot like her mother.

That same year, Lilly had made her first media appearance in a television interview with “MBC Trending” broadcast on MBC4.

During the interview, she talked about her artistic talent, noting that since childhood she loved painting, in all its forms, and pointed out that her father helped her a lot in developing her talent, especially as he also loves this type of art.

“My parents are always keen to show her good drawings to their friends,” Lilly added.

She continued: “I occupy my free time by drawing, but at the same time I pay attention to my studying,”
