"Vogue Arabia" magazine in its Arabic edition chose the Egyptian actress, Mona Zaki, to appear on the front cover of its first issue for the New Year 2021.

Zaki and "Vogue Arabia" magazine, through their accounts on the "Instagram", social networking site, shared photos of the famous actress, in which she appeared in an exceptional photo session and in a completely new way.

On the sidelines of the photo session, the magazine also conducted an interview with Mona Zaki, in which she spoke fondly about her upcoming film, her efforts to demystify autism, and her continuous work to defend women's rights, both outside and within the film industry.

She told the magazine that Arab actresses do not lack experience or popularity, but it is all about producers.

She added that actresses do not lack anything, but we lack bold producers who have the courage to give women the main role in films like any other successful artists.

"I consider this pure unfairness," she said.

"Vogue Arabia" magazine, in its introduction of Zaki, indicated that she intends to start her new year by presenting the best professionally, by getting close to her family, and making use of all that surrounds her to expand the sources of inspiration and attention to take care of her health and her parents.

She explained that she  has trained herself to ignore all the negative things and worked to develop herself and focus on what she loves."

Zaki was honored for her artistic career at the 42nd version of the Cairo International Film Festival.

It is noteworthy that Zaki's latest film "The Black Box", is currently shown in cinemas and is co-starred by Mohamed Farraj and Mustafa Khater.

Zaki returns with the movie "The Black Box" to the cinema screen after an absence of 4 years since she starred in "From 30 Years Ago" with Ahmed El Sakka, Sherif Mounir, Nour, Salah Abdullah, Jamila Awad, and the late actress  Raja Al Jeddawi.
