Superstar Mohamed Ramadan urged people to join him in a pro-government march entitled “Love of Egypt” on Friday afternoon.

“A blessing Friday in the love of Egypt…Let’s gather at 3 pm at El-Nasr street, Nasr City (northern Cairo). God may bless this country with good, dignity, victory and stability,” Ramadan tweeted on Friday.

Ramadan’s call comes amid different calls for demonstrations nationwide; some pro-government while others pro-Muslim Brotherhood, the terrorist group banned in Egypt and many other countries across the world.

Earlier, the Egyptian superstar filmed a short video clip entitled “They want chaos”. The clip is about the current situation in Egypt.

The 31-year old actor expressed his “full support” to the Egyptian government and leadership against “schemes.”

The clip was broadcast on his official YouTube channel on Wednesday. It recorded views of more than 2 million.

Ramadan is an actor and composer, known for Ehky ya Scheherazade (2009), The Treasure 2 (2019) and The Treasure (2017).

In this regard, the State Information Service (SIS) released a statement on Thursday noting that foreign media correspondents in Egypt can freely cover the protests due to take place on September 27.

Moreover, SIS reaffirmed that it is cooperating with all correspondents and international media outlets, and that it is ready to offer all means of facilitation to find the truth in all fields as long as professionalism and integrity are observed.
