In a new tweet, Ramadan affirmed again that he doesn’t ask about the country of the person that he is taking a photo with unless they mentioned it by themselves.

He attached the tweet with a video of himself with a Palestinian youth, which was taken at the same party and featured him greeting the Palestinian people.

Ramadan noted: "Those ignoring the video I took with the Palestinian young man, confirm that it was not about the Palestinian cause but about the 1000th attempt to put an end to my success and popularity."

Since Saturday, the actor was subjected to severe backlash as well as accusations of normalization by the public on social media, after the circulation of his photos with three Israeli celebrities, which were taken at a private party in Dubai.

Also, users on social media platforms circulated a video of Ramadan from the party, showing him listening to an Israeli song “Hava Nagila“, which caused stirred controversy.

Moreover, Egypt's Actors Syndicate, headed by Dr. Ashraf Zaki called for an emergency meeting on the incident, on Sunday.

Zaki noted that the meeting will be attended by the Syndicate council and Trade Union Federation, which will be held without Ramadan.

He noted, in a phone-in with MBC Masr, that the situation will be examined and they will take the necessary measures.

Zaki clarified that some believe that what Ramadan did was normalizing and celebrating with the Israelis, indicating that the meeting will include legal advisers to study the videos that reached the union, stressing that the decision will be decisive.

He added that the incident is not the first of its kind, as there was a person who did what Ramadan had done, but he announced his affiliation and went to Israel, and therefore was written off from the Syndicate.

"The penalties at the Syndicate start from stopping and reach to suspending, Mohamed Ramadan will have the opportunity to clarify," Zaki stated.
