It did not take long for the Egyptian squash champion Mohamed El-Sherbini to achieve another victory.
Shortly after winning the Lethbridge Pro-Am in Canada, world number 70 El-Sherbini claimed the 2019 Serena Hotels/Huawei Open in Pakistan.

At the Serena Pakistan's final, El-Sherbini took the opening game 11-5. Pakistan's Farhan Mehboob (world number 73) took the following two 5-11 and 8-11. The Pharaoh did not surrender and won the last two 11-7 and 11-8.

In addition to El-Sherbini, Egyptians Karim Ali Fathi, Ahmed Hosny, Shehab Essam, and Omar El-Kattan.

Hosny, Essam, and El-Kattan left the tournament in the second round after losing to Kuwaiti Ammar Al-Tamimi 11-6/11-5/11-7, Pakistan's Amaad Fareed 4-11/12-10/11-8/11-7, and to Tayyab Aslam 11-9/11-8/13-11, respectively.

On the other side, Mehboob defeated Fathi 5-11/11-9/11-9/11-5 in the semifinals.

As for Al-Tamimi, he also exited the championship in the quarterfinals after Mehboob won over him 11-5/11-4/12-10.
