Mohammad Mohaddessin, Head of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) and the Iranian Resistance’s foreign minister, told reporters in Berlin that the large gathering of Iranians on Saturday, February 7, held in solidarity with Iran’s nationwide January uprising, carried a clear message to Iran’s ruling religious dictatorship and to the international community.
Mohaddessin praised the broad participation of Iranians who traveled from across the world, noting that despite severe cold and harsh weather conditions that disrupted normal life in Germany and led to numerous flight and train cancellations, participants attended with remarkable energy and determination.
He said the rally delivered an explicit message to the regime in Tehran, underscoring that the regime is on its way out and will be overthrown in the not-too-distant future by the Iranian people and their organized resistance. He added that the maneuvers by remnants of the Shah’s dictatorship and the agents of the mullahs will not succeed. According to Mohaddessin, Resistance Units and uprising youth have demonstrated their capability, resolve, and determination in recent developments.
Mohaddessin described the Berlin gathering as a clear sign of national unity on the path toward establishing a democratic republic. He stressed that the future republic must be based on the separation of religion and state and on respect for the rights of all segments of society, including minorities, ethnic nationalities, and followers of different faiths.
He emphasized that the rally also carried a direct message to the international community, reflecting the Iranian people’s will for freedom, popular sovereignty, and a republican system. He noted that participants voiced their support for the Ten-Point Plan of the President-elect of the Resistance, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi.
Pointing to the presence and speeches of several international figures, including former European Council President Charles Michel, former U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and other former European and American officials, Mohaddessin said the Ten-Point Plan provides a practical roadmap for freedom, equality, popular sovereignty, and a peaceful future for Iran.
In conclusion, he said the presence of representatives from diverse social and political currents—among them Kurdish parties, representatives of Baluch and Arab communities, and other groups—demonstrated the unity of the Iranian people against both forms of dictatorship, the Shah’s and the mullahs’, and their determination to establish a democratic republic.
