Egypt is keen to strengthen cooperation with Serbia in the healthcare sector, Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar said on Monday during a meeting with Serbian Prime Minister Djuro Macut in Cairo.
Abdel Ghaffar received Macut upon his arrival at Cairo International Airport for an official visit aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation, particularly in the field of healthcare.
The minister emphasized the importance of expanding collaboration and exchanging expertise between the two countries to support the development of healthcare systems and improve the quality of medical services.
In a statement, Health Ministry spokesman Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said the Serbian prime minister's visit comes as part of ongoing efforts to broaden cooperation in public health, digital transformation and the exchange of technical and scientific expertise.
The spokesman added that both sides are seeking to deepen their partnership and advance areas of mutual interest, reflecting the growing ties between Egypt and Serbia.
The visit is expected to explore opportunities for joint initiatives and knowledge-sharing in healthcare modernization, as Egypt continues to pursue reforms aimed at enhancing healthcare services and expanding digital health solutions.
