MoH: 2M Patients Benefited from Treatment at State Expense Mechanism

Egypt's Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar said 2 million patients benefited from the treatment at state expense mechanism at a total cost of EGP 14.4 billion.

Abdel Ghaffar revealed that the ambulance authority supported the health system through supplying 345 medically-equipped ambulance vehicles in 2022, and also backing the presidential ‘Decent Life’ initiative.

The minister made these remarks on Thursday during a meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli to follow up efforts on upgrading healthcare and the implementation progress of presidential health initiatives.

Also in this regard, the minister highlighted the implementation progress of the presidential initiative to put an end to the waiting lists for surgical procedures, noting that citizens have been provided with health services nationwide at a cost of EGP14.2 billion.

Meanwhile, Madbouli indicated that the state is very keen to offer better health services for all citizens and carry out health initiatives under the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
