Lebanon's southern borders are witnessing dangerous developments Sunday evening, as missiles were launched from Lebanon, causing fires in the Kiryat Shmona Israeli settlement, while sirens sounded in a number of settlements in northern Israel.
Israeli media reported that sirens sounded in Nahariya, off the western border with Lebanon.
Hebrew media said, "The rate of firing into northern Israel increased significantly yesterday, and not just anti-tank missiles," noting that "in just two hours, about 19 missiles were launched from Lebanese territory toward northern Israel."
The Israeli army spokesman said: “Following the initial report on the state of alert in the northern region, about ten firing operations were monitored from Lebanese territory into Israeli territory, and the Israeli army carried out attacks inside Lebanese territory in response to the shooting.”
