Ministry of Tourism Commissions Receive First Batches of Pilgrims at Land, Sea Crossings in Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia

After launching the first journeys of tourist pilgrimages from Egypt to the Saudi Arabia Kingdom, commissions sent by the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities to the Kingdom at Nubia, a seaport in Egypt, Al Aqaba in Jordan, and Hala Amar, land crossing the Kingdom, pilgrims of these journeys as soon as they landed in these ports.

For her part, Samya Samy, Head of the Central Directorate for Tourist Companies at the ministry, said that there are commissions dispatched by the ministry to all sea and land ports in Egypt, Jordan, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to welcome the Egyptian pilgrims and following them during the itinerary of pilgrimage from Nubie sea port to Al Aqaba port until Mecca and Medina.

Samya Samy affirmed that all commissions work in coordination with all concerned parties in both Egypt and Saudi Arabia to offer all services to pilgrims and remove any hindrances that may face the pilgrims to secure their journey to the Saudi territories.

Samya Samy made clear that this year witnessed the return of the journeys of land pilgrimage after they stopped in 2019 due to Corona crisis.

She added that restrictions imposed on journeys of land pilgrimages by the Saudi Ministry of Health were eased this year.
