Ministry of Higher Education Closes Unlicensed Establishments

CAIRO, Nov. 9 (SEE) – Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education is paying great efforts in favor of students as well as their parents. In this regard Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Khaled Abdel Ghaffar issued a decision to close two fake establishments.

The two establishments are the Egyptian American Academy located in Nasr City and Ain Shames Centre for technological specialized studies in Gesr El Suez.

The Academy was close as it advertised for scientific activities in without the Ministry of Higher Education's license. Scientific activities were offered at the Academy's following departments: tourism and hotel management, informatics, business administration, press and media, petroleum technology, surveying and mapping.

As for the centre, it offered studying at its departments without the Ministry's permission. These departments were: tourism and hotel management; surveying and mapping, media and press, and computer science.

The Ministry warned students and their parents not to follow fake establishments, and to be committed to those mentioned on the Ministry's website.
