The Ministry of Health and Population sent a message to "mothers" to maintain good ventilation in homes to limit the spread of the Coronavirus (known also as COVID-19), as well as the syncytial virus.

Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, confirmed that the medicines for the treatment of the syncytial virus are available in hospitals, adding that chest hospitals receive people with respiratory diseases 24 hours a day and provide free treatment.

Abdel Ghaffar indicated that the ministry has a strong epidemiological monitoring system for infectious diseases, in 27 facilities across the country.

He explained that since 2020 a number of simple cases were diagnosed and then the disease disappeared.

He indicated that in October and November 2022 the ministry began to monitor the seasonal attack of the syncytial disease.

He pointed out that the pathological symptoms of the virus range from mild to moderate, but its prevalence rates are high.
