Egypt’s Ministry of Health and Population announced, on Tuesday, that 323 patients have been discharged from hospitals following recovery in the past 24 hours, bringing total recoveries to 210805.

“The country has reported relatively few cases and deaths,” the Health Minister’s Spokesman Khaled Megahd announced on Tuesday.

The country recorded 261 new coronavirus cases on Tuesday, and 23 deaths, the Health Minister’s Spokesman said.

The total infection reached 281031 since the outbreak began in February 2020, Megahd added.

The Ministry has imposed new coronavirus prevention sanitary measures and other safety regulations in response to the spread of the highly infectious Delta variant of the Coronavirus, while WHO warned of a worrying new mutation. Who emphasized how the morphing pathogen continues to challenge a return to pre-pandemic life worldwide.

It's worth mentioning that the country is set to obtain 40 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines through COVAX within 6 weeks.
