The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the international failure to address the famine in the Gaza Strip is unjustified.

In a press release, the ministry stated that the worsening humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip has reached unprecedented levels and has surpassed in severity the true disgrace of what remains of humanity. It emphasized that the signs of famine, as they appeared today in the southern Gaza Strip, exceeded all expectations and sounded the alarm of a grave danger that now threatens the lives of more than two million Palestinians living in the Strip.

It stressed that international reactions to these manifestations have not yet risen to the level of the crimes committed by the occupying forces against Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip, especially those perpetrated at the gates of aid distribution centers. This is proven daily and documented by numerous eyewitnesses in full view of the international community.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates expressed its appreciation for the fruitful efforts that the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt continues to make in support of and backing the just and legitimate rights of our people. These efforts, foremost among them, include ongoing efforts to achieve an immediate halt to the crimes of genocide, displacement, and annexation, and to ensure the sustainable entry of aid into the Gaza Strip. It also commends its active engagement with sisterly Qatar and the United States to achieve an end to the aggression, paving the way for a political process to resolve the conflict through peaceful means and enabling the State of Palestine to exercise its political and legal jurisdiction over the entire territory of the State of Palestine.

The Ministry reaffirmed the strength and depth of the sincere, historical relations between the State of Palestine and sisterly Egypt, its leadership, government, and people.
