Emigration Min. Offers Facilities to Students to Join Universities abroad

Nabila Makram Abdel Shaheed, Minister of State for Emigration and Egyptians Expatriates Affairs, has met Maj. Gen. Ashraf Attia, Head of Drafting and Mobilization Department ( DMD) of the Armed Forces and Dr. Haytham Hamzah, Chief of Central Directorate of Delegations and Cultural Representation under Ministry of Higher Education, representatives of Foreign Ministries and Communications and members of Atechnical of DMD.

The meeting dealt with steps to convert to digital applications, electronic broadband and completing of formalities of delaying of drafting and getting travel licenses.

Makram said that her ministry seeks to facilities conditions of studying abroad through coordination with General Directorate of Missions and Scientific Supervision under Ministry of Higher Education to Higher Education to issue "formal documents to submit them to DMD and get travel license then via the Internet.

A student will not be obliged to come to DMD either in person or any of his family members.

The minister added that Ministry of Emigration is the government’s arm coordinating with other agencies to offer proper services. She stressed that a big number of citizens studying abroad.

It is very important to link the expatriates to their motherland in lines of the political leadership. The state is keen on saving efforts of the students abroad to get documents of travel as the government agencies direct toward the digital applications.

Periodical meetings will be held in the future to find solutions to any problem may appear later and set mechanisms to facilitate conditions to the Egyptians abroad.

On his part, Maj. Gen. Attia thanked Makram for launching this meeting which facilitate formalities of getting DMD documents.

DMD website achieved great success in serving the Egyptians abroad alike others in the country.

On the other hand, Dr. Hamza pointed out that a new system to serve the Egyptian studying abroad will be launched soon.

The minister also affirmed that she coordinates with ministers of Defense, Interior, Higher Education, Communication to discuss procedures of linking those ministries with Drafting Department.

All attendants of the meeting appreciated the plan to convert to digital applications as a wide leap towards modernization.
