Today, Nader Saad, the spokesman for the Council of Ministers, said that today's meeting of cabinet focused on re-emphasizing the precautionary measures.
Saad urged citizens to wear the facemasks in closed places and inside means of transport.
Saad said: “Whoever does not wear the facemask will be punished penalized 4,000 pounds according to the decision by the Prime Minister."
He added that there are directives from the law enforcement authorities to implement these fines immediately, without any exceptions.
Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly chaired the meeting of the Supreme Committee for the Management of the emerging Coronavirus crisis, through "video conference," with other ministries to discuss the Coronavirus situation in Egypt.
