Happy returns and blessings to everyone on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan; may God bring it back to us all with goodness and tranquility. In these blessed days, and with the new cabinet reshuffle, I say from the bottom of my heart: Congratulations to Engineer Randa Al-Minshawi on taking over the Housing portfolio. For the first time in Egypt's history, a woman holds this vital position.
I am truly delighted by the selection of a woman for this role, as women constantly prove their ability to shoulder great responsibility. I am sure that her impact will be profound. She began implementing changes and adjustments immediately with the start of Ramadan, possessing a comprehensive vision for accelerating national projects and facilitating the procedures for refunding reservation deposits to citizens. Her top priorities include maintaining the civilized appearance of new cities, providing high-quality social housing, focusing on electronic grievance systems, and ensuring high-quality services.
It is a significant and arduous position because its jurisdictions are vast, intersecting with both the daily lives of citizens and government programs. However, I believe Randa is the best choice because I have known her closely for many years. She is serious, strong, transparent, unafraid of confrontation, and knows exactly what she wants.
She is "brilliant" in every sense of the word. She works hard, reviews thoroughly, and never settles for half-measures. She possesses a strong, influential personality and understands her files well because she spent long years within the Ministry. Because of her excellence, she rose through the ranks until she reached the top. As a "daughter of the Ministry," she knows every intricate detail, having been appointed there since her university graduation and having supervised major national projects where she proved her competence and superiority.
I received a testimony from one of Egypt’s most brilliant former Housing Ministers, Engineer Mohamed Ibrahim Suleiman, who assured me that she is the best person to lead the Ministry since his tenure.
I am proud that an Egyptian woman has reached this challenging position, proving that competence is what matters most. I personally sure that she is capable of fixing what needs repair and developing the housing system with a fresh spirit.
My best wishes to my dear friend, Minister Randa Al-Minshawi. Her fingerprints will be clearly visible on the ground.
