On Monday, Minister of Tourism Sherif Fathy received Saudi Culture Minister Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Farhan Al- Saud at the Authority of the Grand Egyptian Museum on the sidelines of the Saudi Minister and his delegation's visit to Cairo.
During the meeting, Fathy asserted the deep cultural and historical ties between Egypt and KSA on the national, and governmental levels, reflecting the ministry's keenness to increase cooperation with the Saudi cultural minister.
Both officials discussed the means of bilateral cooperation between both countries and the methods of experience exchange in archaeology and antiquities, in addition to participation and contribution of the Egyptian experience in the archaeological excavations in KSA.
They also discussed the possibility of organizing a temporary exhibition for Egyptian antiquities in the KSA, and Egyptian participation in the Biennale of Islamic Arts in KSA.
Fathy accompanied the Saudi Minister and the Saudi delegation on a tour inside the Grand Egyptian Museum.
After the visit, the Saudi Minister praised the display scenario of the museum, and the exhibits as well as the unique architectural style of it.
