Within the proceedings of Milan Design Week, which takes place on (17-23) April, the Cleopatra and Antonio Exhibition kicks off. Some Egyptian and Italian exhibitors will take part in this exhibition, aiming at reviving Egyptian-Italian history and culture.

The Cleopatra and Antonio Exhibition, which lasts until April 30, displays a contemporary illustration of the possible lifestyle of the well-known couple. This will happen through the collaboration between the most famous brands in architecture, decoration, and manufacturing which present modern designs highlighting the spirit of the common history between Egypt and Italy, the relationship between the Egyptian Queen Cleopatra and Greek leader Mark Antony and its presentation for the time being.

An Italian-Egyptian team specialized in design, architecture, communications, and event planning launched the exhibition which sheds light on the modern life in the house of Antony and Cleopatra in Milan after they got married and had two children: Leo and Raya. All of this will be presented through designs that highlight the traditional cultural heritage, traditions, and rituals, dealing with the common culture in a modern way and virtual interaction.

“Cleopatra and Antonio” Exhibition holds many events, including panel discussions, symposiums, and initiatives highlighting the updates of design to create opportunities for partnerships between both countries.

It is worth noting that Milan Design Week, which was launched in 1961, is regarded as the most significant event which brings together designers in diversified fields in Milan. At first, it presented Italian furniture. Over time, it turned into a world event that highlights the commercial and cultural cooperation opportunities between countries, through the events held all over the city for a week, during which it hosts almost 2500 companies.

Before the COVID pandemic, over half a million people from all over the globe attended Milan Design Week. This year, it is the expected number of visits to the exhibition which sheds light on multiple subjects, such as sustainable design, creative materials, and artificial intelligence encourages humans to unleash their creativity.
