Mike Pence, Giulio Terzi: International Support for Iranian Resistance's Provisional Government as Sole Democratic Alternative to End Era of the Velayat-e Faqih Regime

Former U.S. Vice President Mike Pence and Italian Senator Giulio Terzi stated today that the National Council of Resistance of Iran’s (NCRI) announcement regarding the formation of the Provisional Government marks the most significant historical turning point for establishing the sovereignty of the Iranian people and founding a democratic republic. They emphasized that the death of the executioner Khamenei has driven the final nail into the coffin of the mullahs' dictatorship.

In his remarks, Pence stated: "The war currently ongoing in Iran is the decisive battle to end decades of terrorism and oppression under the weight of the Velayat-e Faqih regime. The international community is now duty-bound to recognize the Provisional Government announced by Mrs. Maryam Rajavi to manage the transitional phase."

Pence added: "We have witnessed unparalleled courage by the *Resistance Units* on the ground. They are the organized force capable of breaking the mullahs' IRGC repression machine, paving the way for the return of Iranian expertise from abroad to a free, democratic, and non-nuclear homeland."

Pence further emphasized: "The responsibility of the free world is to support the Iranian people's right to self-determination and to recognize that the organized alternative, represented by the Iranian Resistance, is the only guarantee against sliding into chaos and for achieving comprehensive democratic change."

For his part, Senator Giulio Terzi explained that the broad international support for the recent Resistance conference reflects a global consensus on the inevitability of the regime’s fall. He noted that Mrs. Maryam Rajavi’s 10-point plan is the only charter capable of building the future of Iran.

Terzi continued: "The formation of the Provisional Government blocks any attempts to reproduce tyranny, whether through the remnants of the Velayat-e Faqih regime or the illusion of returning to the buried dictatorship of the Shah. The slogan of the Iranian people has become clear in rejecting both the Shah and the *mullah*."

Terzi stressed: "The death of the butcher Khamenei has removed the greatest obstacle to peace in the Middle East. The *Resistance Units* and the Liberation Army are now leading the final phase to topple the pillars of the crumbling regime and transfer power to the people."

Pence and Terzi concluded their statement by affirming that the Provisional Government, with its clear program to hold free elections within six months, represents the civilized and political model the world expects from Iran. They emphasized that the era of the mullahs' tyranny has ended forever.
