Microsoft, Nvidia Set to Unveil First Windows PC Chip

Microsoft and NVIDIA are expected to unveil the first Windows-powered PC featuring a main processor designed by Nvidia, according to reports.

The new devices are expected to be launched within days and will include models from Microsoft's Surface brand as well as PCs from manufacturers such as Dell Technologies.

The announcement is expected at the Computex exhibition in Taiwan and Microsoft's Build developer conference in San Francisco.

The move marks Nvidia’s entry into the Windows PC processor market using technology from Arm. Reuters first reported in 2023 that Nvidia was developing Arm-based CPUs for Microsoft's Windows ecosystem.

Neither Microsoft nor Nvidia has commented on the reports. However, official social media accounts linked to Windows, Nvidia and Arm recently teased a “new era of PCs,” fueling speculation ahead of the expected launch.
