In Mexico, a 5.6-magnitude earthquake struck central regions on Monday, with no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
According to the National Seismological Service, the epicenter was located approximately 24 kilometers west of Pinotepa Nacional, in the southern state of Oaxaca, at a depth of 9 kilometers.
Authorities confirmed that the tremor was felt in surrounding areas, but no significant structural damage or injuries have been recorded so far.
Mexico lies along a highly active seismic zone, and earthquakes of varying intensity are relatively frequent across the country.
