Meta Unveils AI-Powered Short-Video Platform 'Vibes'

In a move that underscores its accelerating push into the artificial intelligence race, Meta has announced the launch of a new feature called “Vibes."

It is a platform dedicated entirely to AI-generated short videos. The service is available through the Meta AI app as well as via meta.ai.

While the concept may sound familiar compared to TikTok or Instagram Reels, Vibes sets itself apart by focusing exclusively on AI-created videos, giving the platform a unique identity in both style and substance.

The launch was personally revealed by CEO Mark Zuckerberg, who shared experimental AI-generated clips on Instagram. 

Meta explained that Vibes will allow users to browse personalized feeds of AI-generated content, with algorithms tailoring recommendations over time to match each user’s interests.

Creators can generate new videos from scratch or remix existing ones, adding visual effects, style filters, and music before publishing. 

Sharing options are versatile: users can post directly to the Vibes feed, send clips privately, or even integrate them into Instagram and Facebook Stories.
