Meta said on Monday that it would temporarily shut down Threads in Turkey from April 29 after receiving an interim order from the Turkish competition authority.
The order is targeted for Threads only, and the rest of the Meta platforms in Turkey will continue their activities like Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, Meta said.
Last month, the country's competition authority released an interim order on Facebook parent Meta to stop the process of data sharing between the Instagram and Threads platforms as it investigated possible abuse of the company's dominant market position.
