Argentina's joy in winning the latest edition of the World Cup almost turned into a great tragedy for world star Lionel Messi and some of the teammates.

The Argentinean stars were about to collide with a suspended electricity cable and fall off the open bus that was carrying them while they were celebrating the victory.

The bus paraded the star footballers through the streets of the capital, Buenos Aires, and millions were waiting for them, to celebrate the precious victory over France.

And in a moment, Messi almost lost his life, as he was carrying the World Cup, and on his right was Leandro Paredes and Rodrigo de Paul, and on his left was Angel Di Maria and Nicholas Otamendi.

Players almost get hit by a power cable while the bus is turning left

Seconds before impact, the players noticed the cables and quickly ducked their heads, just in time to save themselves, but Paredes lost his hat.

It might have been different if they hadn't noticed the wire in time.
