Mercedes-Benz is appearing between the Geneva Motor Show and New York Auto Show by unveiling its refreshed GLC Coupe. The GLS580 introduces a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 developing 483 hp and 516 lb-ft and the GLS450 has a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline six producing 362 hp and 369 lb-ft.
Both engines have a 48-volt onboard electric boost system، adding up to 21 hp and 184 lb-ft and both are mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission.
The endless list of driver assist goodies include lane-keeping assist and automated emergency braking, blind-spot assist, active stopgo assist and active emergency stop assist.
Behind the wheel is a larger 12.3-inch display, and looking towards the center of the dash you’ll see a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen. Mercedes reported that the steering-assist feature can preemptively slow the car ahead of bends and can execute lane changes.
