Mena Massoud to Arrive in Egypt Soon

Egyptian-Canadian actor Mena Massoud is set to arrive in Egypt next January to start shooting his first-ever Egyptian film "Fi Ez El Dohr".

The producing company has contracted with several celebrities including, Mahmoud Hegazy, Mohamed Ezz, and Mohamed Ali Rizk, and is scheduled to contract with two actresses in the coming period.

The film is a triller-suspense genre and sees Massoud as the head of an international gang that commits many crimes around the world, who gets involved in a romantic relationship.

"Fi Ez El Dohr" also director Markos Adel, first directional debut in a film as well as the writing debut of actor Karim Sorour, who is starred in several works, the latest is TV series "Cairo-Kabul", which is scheduled to be screened in Ramadan 2021.

It is worth mentioning that Massoud is an actor of Egyptian origin, born on September 17, 1991, in Cairo to Egyptian parents before he immigrated to Canada with his parents when he was just a few months old.

He made his international appearance in 2011 when he appeared briefly in episodes of the television series “Nikita” and “Combat Hospital”.

Massoud also starred as Jared Malik in the 2015 series “Open Heart”, and Tarek Kassar in the Amazon Prime series “Jack Ryan”.

However, the actor drew attention with his role as Aladdin in Disney’s 2019 remake of the 1992 original film, which nominated him for a Teen Choice Award.

It also featured Naomi Scott, Will Smith, Billy Magnussen, Alan Tudyk, Nasim Pedrad, Marwan Kenzari, Numan Acar, Frank Welker, Navid Negahban, Navid Negahban, Ocean Navarro, Kamil Lemieszewski, Sophie Carmen-Jones, and Adam Collins.

In the same year, he was cast in the main role of “Ethan Hart” in the Hulu original series “Reprisal”, as well as appeared as Chaz in the thriller film “Strange but True”, and starred as Kamal in the drama film” Run This Town”.

In 2019, he arrived in Egypt to participate in the third edition of the El-Gouna Film Festival (GFF).

During an interview with actress Amina Khalil on the fringe of the festival, Massoud expressed his desire to star in an Egyptian film.
