Medical Staff at Abu Khalifa Hospital to Receive Coronavirus Vaccine

Medical staff at Abu Khalifa Hospital allocated for quarantine, in Ismailia Governorate, alobg with other two hospitals, are set to receive the first dose of the new Coronavvirus vaccine, "Sinopharm", in the presence of Dr. Hala Zayed, Minister of Health and Population.

A source at the Ministry of Health confirmed that the vaccination of medical teams is starting today, Sunday, in 3 hospitals: Abu Khalifa in Ismailia, Al-Najila in Matrouh, and Al-Agouza in Giza", as part of the first batch of vaccines allocated for medical staff.

The Minister of Health and Population will hold a press conference today at the headquarters of Abu Khalifa Hospital to announce the details of the Chinese Corona vaccine distribution plan.

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi said on Saturday that Egypt would launch its Covid-19 national vaccination campaign Sunday.

The state will prioritize vaccination for the medical staff, then people with chronic diseases, and the elderly later.

Sisi affirmed that the state is shouldering its responsibility for development in all sectors at the highest possible rates.
