The presidents of Djibouti, Mauritania, and African Union, and the former president of Nigeria Oluṣẹgun Ọbasanjọ tried to facilitate the talks between the Somalian President and the Ethiopian Prime Minister, but this offer was strictly rejected by the Somalian authorities, according to the website.
The Somalian authorities added that the government asserted that there are no direct talks with Ethiopia unless Addis Ababa withdraws from the illegal agreement signed with Somaliland.
