Media Delegations Visit Russia to Explore Russian Food Security Projects

Russia hosted media delegations from over 11 countries in Africa and Asia, including Egypt, Lebanon, Morocco, Syria, Turkey, Ethiopia, Tanzania, and the Congo.

The purpose of this visit was to acquaint the delegations with the latest Russian projects in the field of food security.

The delegations toured cities such as Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi and  Novorossiysk including visits to factories related to food security processes such as packaging and tractors.

They also had the opportunity to learn about innovative products in the field of food security.

During their visit, the delegations engaged in open dialogues with directors, engineers, and specialists responsible for these factories, discussing production processes and prospects for cooperation with friendly countries.

The media delegation began their tour in Russia by participating in a roundtable discussion in Moscow titled "Grains as a Tool for Advancing Russian Exports in the Global Market."

The event featured key speakers including Dean of the Faculty of World Economy and International Politics at the National Research University Higher School of Economics, Anastasia Borisovna Likhacheva; Deputy Head of Rossotrudnichestvo, Kirill Sergeevich Bogomolov; Head of the Department of Industry Planning and Coordination of Scientific and Technical Development at the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Sergey Vyacheslavovich Zhabin; and Victoria Sergeevna Gamova, coordinator of the "Export of specialized equipment" direction of the Rosspetsmash Association.

All speakers emphasized Russia's ability to produce grains and offer them to the world as a contribution to solving global food security issues.

They highlighted Russia's leadership in the production of agricultural tractors, which harvest crops with minimal waste.

Additionally, they mentioned Russia's production of wheat carriers for sea transport and specialized packaging machinery using state-of-the-art technologies.

Several countries, including Egypt and Saudi Arabia, were mentioned as major importers of Russian products.

The media delegations were warmly received in Moscow despite heavy snowfall and cold weather, reaffirming the strong bonds of cooperation between friendly nations and Russia.
