The Commander of the US Central Command Kenneth McKenzie said on Friday that the Grand Ethiopian Reconnaissance Dam (GERD) crisis is worrying the US.
He added that the US will continue its work for establishing a satisfactory solution for Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia. The commander also asserted that the US is aware of the Nile's importance to Egypt as it is the primary source of water and economy.
McKenzie's speeches came during his TV interview with the state-owned Nile-News channel last Friday.
He paid an official visit to Cairo and held several meetings with the Minister of Defense Mohamed Ahmed Zaki for strengthening the military ties between Egypt and the US.
