The Muslim Council of Elders, chaired by Ahmed Al-Tayeb, said reviving the human conscience has become an urgent necessity in a world facing growing challenges, calling for stronger efforts to promote peace and counter hatred and extremism.
In a statement marking the International Day of Conscience, the council emphasized that a living conscience is essential to maintaining social stability, strengthening understanding among nations, and fostering dialogue, tolerance, and coexistence.
The council renewed its call for enhanced international cooperation to spread the values of compassion, responsibility, and human fraternity, describing them as the foundation for building a more just and humane world and preventing societies from descending into violence and division.
