The Muslim Council of Elders has renewed its pledge to promote equity, humanity and solidarity in confronting today’s global challenges during the G20 Interfaith Forum (IF20).
Adama Dieng, former United Nations under-secretary-general and advisor to the Council, underscored the need for collective action in a session titled “Leave No One Behind: Vulnerable Communities at the Forefront.”
He highlighted the importance of supporting marginalized groups, amplifying the voices of religious and community leaders, and fostering trust to protect human dignity and advance peace.
“Together—through the teachings of religions and the promotion of human values—we can build a world rooted in justice, compassion, and solidarity,” Dieng said.
The IF20 serves as a global platform to strengthen cooperation between faith communities and policymakers in addressing humanitarian and developmental priorities.
