MCE Hosts Central Asia Workshop on Media and AI

The Muslim Council of Elders’ Central Asia Office organized its second workshop, titled “Media and Peace Journalism in the Age of Artificial Intelligence,” in Almaty, as part of ongoing efforts to promote the ethical use of artificial intelligence and harness media to spread values of dialogue, coexistence and peace.

The workshop was held at the House of Friendship in cooperation with the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the International Center for Interfaith and Intercultural Dialogue. It brought together a high-level group of policymakers, academics, media professionals and experts from across Central Asia.

Participants discussed the role of responsible media and peace journalism in addressing contemporary challenges in the digital age, particularly amid rapid developments in artificial intelligence.

The event is part of the Muslim Council of Elders’ broader efforts to foster a culture of dialogue, support ethical and responsible media practices, and help build more cohesive and stable societies.
