The Muslim Council of Elders, chaired by Grand Imam Ahmed Al-Tayeb of Al-Azhar strongly condemned what it described as terrorist plots targeting the Kingdom of Morocco, reaffirming its rejection of terrorism, extremism, violence and hatred in all forms.
In a statement, the council said such acts seek to spread fear among civilians and undermine the security and stability of societies. It expressed full solidarity with Morocco and voiced support for all measures taken by the country to protect its national security and preserve stability.
The council also stressed the importance of international efforts to confront terrorism and extremist ideologies, reiterating its commitment to promoting dialogue, coexistence and peace as essential pillars for building secure and stable societies.
