The Muslim Council of Elders has concluded its participation in the Iraq International Book Fair 2025 with strong public engagement and a series of well-attended intellectual and cultural events, underscoring its role in promoting dialogue and coexistence.
The council said its pavilion drew large crowds and served as a platform for discussions on strengthening societal peace, countering hate speech and extremism, advancing intra-Islamic dialogue and highlighting the role of women. It also showcased a selection of its intellectual and scholarly publications aimed at promoting moderation and raising awareness.
In a statement, the council reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining an active presence at cultural exhibitions and forums, enhancing bridges of communication and fostering a culture of dialogue, mutual understanding and peaceful coexistence.
