McDonald's will suspend operations in Kazakhstan from November 18 due to constraints of local supplies, the company's press service announced on Thursday.
"McDonald's in Kazakhstan (Food Solutions KZ LLP) will suspend operations of all its restaurants from November 18 because of constraints in local supplies," the food giant said. “The company endeavors to resume operations as soon as possible. Opening time of restaurants will be communicated later.”
Food Solutions KZ is working in Kazakhstan for over six years. The company has a total of 24 McDonald’s restaurants in several cities.
McDonald’s franchises in Kazakhstan, Belarus, and certain Russian regions belong to Kazakh businessman Kairat Boranbaev. He was arrested last March over investigations of a major theft criminal case.
