CAIRO,
Feb. 4 (SEE) - Saudi Crown Prince Mohamed bin Salman, commonly known as MBS,
will visit Amman in Feb. to hold talks at a high level with Jordanian King
Abdallah II bin Al-Hussein, according to Jordanian sources to Arab media
outlets.
The
sources revealed that MBS's talks will tackle historical and brotherly
relations between the two countries, latest developments in the region and ways
to foster cooperation levels in various fields between Amman and Riyadh.
It's
also expected that both leaders will discuss regional issues, most notably
Yemen, Syria and the Palestine.
The
Saudi crown prince's two-week visit comes within the consultative framework
between Saudi and Jordan.
Saudi
Arabia is one of the largest donors to Jordan after the United States of
America. It is also the first destination for Jordanian workers who positively supply
the Jordanian economy with hard currency.
Noteworthy
that the MBS's visit was due to take place in last December, but it was
postponed owning to the crown prince's busy schedule and the unscheduled trip of
King Abdullah II to the United States to attend the funeral of late President
George Bush Sr.
King
Abdullah II was the co-sponsor of the second edition of the Future Investment
Initiative, "Davos Desert", held in Riyadh from October 23-25, 2018,
with a wide global participation of leaders and kings and heads of ministries
of Arab and Western countries.
