Paris St-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe will officially miss the Uefa Champions League (CL) quarter-final with Atalanta in Lisbon on 12 August, due to an ankle injury.
Mbappe has sustained an ankle injury during the French Cup final against Saint-Etienne on Friday, which ruled him out of the stadiums for three weeks..
If the French club manages to qualify for the semi-final, the 21-year-old player could join the match as the semi-final is set to be held on August 18.
In a statement, PSG announced the duration of his absence saying: "Scans confirmed an ankle sprain with damage to the external ligament."
"The player is expected to be sidelined for approximately three weeks," PSG added.
