The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) expects a slight and gradual increase in temperatures across most parts of the country on Saturday.
Moderate spring weather is forecast during the early morning hours, while temperatures will be warm along the North Coast, hot across Lower Egypt, Greater Cairo, and northern Upper Egypt, and very hot in southern Upper Egypt. Conditions are expected to remain moderate during the night.
The country will also witness mist formation, which may become dense at times on roads leading to and from northern Egypt, Greater Cairo, Canal Cities, Central Sinai, and northern Upper Egypt, potentially reducing horizontal visibility in some areas.
There is a chance of light rainfall affecting parts of the North Coast and northern Lower Egypt. Rainfall may occasionally become moderate and thundery, with a 30 percent probability, in Sallum, Marsa Matrouh, and Siwa.
Wind speeds ranging between 30 and 40 kilometres per hour (km/h) are expected across much of the country and may stir up sand and dust in parts of South Sinai at intermittent intervals.
The EMA also indicated a slight possibility of low clouds forming over scattered areas of southern Lower Egypt, Greater Cairo, and the Canal Cities, which could result in light and non-impactful drizzle in some locations.
Thundercloud activity, with an estimated 20 percent probability, may also be accompanied by strong wind gusts generated by downdrafts beneath storm clouds in some areas.
Furthermore, the Mediterranean Sea will experience moderate waves, ranging between 1.5 and 2 meters in height varying between northwest and northeast surface winds.
Maritime navigation is also expected to be moderate in the Red Sea, with waves ranging between 1.5 and 2 meters.
The predicted temperatures for the following cities are 33°C in Cairo, 29°C in Alexandria, 25°C in Marsa Matruh, 36°C in Sohag, 38°C in Qena, and 38°C in Aswan.
