President of Mauritania, Mohamed Ould Seck Al Ghazouani, had phone talks with Prime Minister of Spain, Pedro Sánchez.

The Mauritanian presidency said in a statement that the talks focused on ways to strengthen and develop the fruitful cooperation relations between the two friendly countries, in addition to exchanging views on regional and international issues of interest.

Mauritania and Spain have relations that cover many areas. Tens of thousands of Mauritanians live in the Spanish Kingdom and work in many professions, most notably agriculture and trade. Spaniards also live in Mauritania, especially in the city of Nouadhibou, where there is a commercial partnership in the fisheries sector.
