Tuesday's meeting between Mauritanian President Mohamed Ahmed Ould Ghazouani and Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian took place.

The two sides' discussions focused on the advancement of bilateral ties in a variety of areas, particularly those involving technology, culture, and the economy.

A meeting of foreign ministers will be held in Nouakchott in March. They also discussed other significant regional concerns, such as support for the Palestinian people and cause, the improvement of relations with Islamic nations, and the Palestinian struggle.

The initiative and efforts of the President of Mauritania to promote peace, stability, and the battle against terrorism in the sub-Saharan African region were applauded by Amir-Abdollahian.

He stressed the growth of relations between the two countries while referring to Iran's contribution to the battle against terrorism as well as its industrial, scientific, and technological accomplishments.

Tuesday night, Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, Amir-counterpart Abdollahian's in Mauritania, welcomed him to the capital city of Nouakchott.
