The 55th edition of the Cairo International Book Fair (CIBF) broke a new record by attracting over one million visitors within just three days of opening.

In her remarks, Dr. Nevine El Kelany, the Minister of Culture, expressed her satisfaction with this exceptional milestone in the history of the exhibition. She highlighted the cultural and artistic aspects of the exhibition, which are in line with the latest nation's developments in various fields.

Meanwhile, Dr. Ahmed Bahi El-Din, Chairman of the Egyptian General Book Authority, confirmed that the total attendance on the third day reached 404,931 visitors, bringing the total number of visitors to over one million within three days of the fair's opening.

The 55th edition of the CIBF spans over an area of 80,000 square meters and features over 550 events, 5,250 exhibitors, and Norway as the distinguished guest country. 

This year’s edition of the book fair is held under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and the activities will continue from January 25 to February 6 under the slogan "We Create Knowledge, We Preserve the Word".
