A large fire broke out at the bus station of the Haifa industrial region in northwest Israel on Tuesday night, after firefighters managed to briefly quell the conflagration in the dawn, according to RT.
In this regard, a large fire fighting team from Haifa and other regions rushed to contain the blaze.
Firemen also carried out monitoring of the area around the plant to ensure there was no danger to the local environment.
Later on, Israeli citizens in the area have been told they can now open windows and doors, after being advised earlier to keep them closed due to a smoke plume.
It's worth mentioning that there were no reported injuries and the cause is being investigated.
The fire at the industrial region comes amid elevated tensions across Israel following two recent incidents, including a blast at a rocket factory in the central districts of the Mediterranean country on Tuesday which domestic authorities claimed was a 'controlled blast', and Thursday morning's launch of a Syrian S-200 surface-to-air missile into central Israel – with the missile exploding about 40 km from the country’s sensitive and highly secretive nuclear research facility in Dimona, according to international reports.
