Marsa Alam International Airport received on Saturday the first flight coming from the Czech Republic, carrying 178 passengers, after seven-month hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic.
All the anti-coronavirus measures were taken during finalizing the passengers' procedures at the airport, according to Tourism Daily News website.
Sources pointed out that flights from France, Ukraine, and Poland are expected to arrive at the airport today.
Earlier, Czech ambassador to Egypt Jan Folik inspected the precautionary measures taken at tourist facilities in the Red Sea resort of Hurghada, where he lauded the anti-coronavirus measures adopted by the Egyptian Ministry of Antiquities and Tourism.
It is worth mentioning that more than 250,000 tourists from 15 countries visited Egypt without recording any coronavirus cases among them.
