The Egyptian Meteorological Authority forecasts that Sunday, March 22, 2026, will see improved weather conditions across the country.
However, intermittent rain and active winds will continue in several regions.
Early morning hours will be noticeably cold, followed by moderate to warm weather during the day across most areas, while southern Upper Egypt is expected to experience relatively hotter conditions. Temperatures will drop again at night, bringing colder weather nationwide.
Light to moderate rainfall is expected over parts of northern Upper Egypt, the Gulf of Suez and Gulf of Aqaba, as well as northern areas of the Red Sea governorate.
These showers may occasionally be accompanied by thunderstorms and could intensify to the level of flash floods in parts of Sinai Peninsula at intermittent intervals.
Meanwhile, light rain is forecast along the northern coasts and northern Lower Egypt, with a weak probability, estimated at around 20%, of extending to southern Lower Egypt and Greater Cairo.
Winds are expected to be active along the northern coasts, while southern Upper Egypt and southern Red Sea areas may experience dust-raising winds.
These conditions could lead to reduced horizontal visibility at times.
The forecast also warns of rough sea conditions in parts of the Mediterranean coastline. Wind speeds are expected to range between 40 and 50 km/h, with wave heights reaching between 2 and 3 meters, potentially disrupting maritime navigation.
Authorities advise citizens, particularly in affected areas, to remain cautious amid fluctuating weather conditions throughout the day.
