Egypt’s General Authority for Meteorology has forecast continued unstable weather conditions across most parts of the country on Saturday, March 21, 2026.
The day is expected to bring varying intensities of rainfall along with active winds ranging between 30 and 40 km per hour.
These winds may stir up sand and dust, particularly in exposed areas.
Moderate rainfall, which could become heavy and occasionally be accompanied by thunderstorms, is likely over the northern coasts, northern parts of the Nile Delta, and Sinai at intermittent intervals.
Light rain is also expected in southern parts of the Nile Delta, the Canal cities, Greater Cairo, and northern Upper Egypt.
These showers may occasionally reach moderate levels, with an estimated probability of around 30 percent.
Wind activity will be widespread across the country, with speeds between 30 and 40 km per hour.
Dust and sand may be particularly noticeable in Greater Cairo, the Canal cities, Sinai, northern and southern Upper Egypt, and the Red Sea governorate.
Maritime conditions are expected to be rough in parts of the Mediterranean coast. Wind speeds could reach between 50 and 60 km per hour, with wave heights ranging from 2.5 to 3.5 meters, potentially disrupting navigation.
The predicted temperatures for the following cities are 20°C in Cairo, 18°C in Alexandria, 17°C in Marsa Matruh, 28°C in Sohag, 30°C in Qena, and 31°C in Aswan.
