The Egyptian Meteorological Authority announced that Egypt will face dusty, sandy, windy, and rainy weather on Saturday.

The latest dust and sand storms will be active across large parts of the country, reducing horizontal visibility in several areas, particularly in northern Upper Egypt, Greater Cairo and the Sinai Peninsula.

According to the authority, horizontal visibility in Cairo has dropped to around 2,000 meters as dusty winds persist.

Egypt is also experiencing unstable weather conditions, with varying intensities of rainfall expected along with active winds reaching speeds of 40 to 50 km per hour.

Moderate rainfall, which may become heavy and occasionally thunderous, is forecast for parts of the northern coasts, northern Nile Delta and the Gulf of Suez.

Authorities warn that rainfall could lead to flash floods in parts of Sinai Peninsula at intermittent periods.

Light rainfall, with a probability of around 30 percent, may affect Greater Cairo, the canal cities, northern and central Upper Egypt, the Red Sea Mountains and the Western Desert.

In some areas, rainfall could occasionally reach moderate levels.

Navigation in the Mediterranean Sea is expected to be disrupted, with wind speeds ranging between 50 and 70 km per hour and waves rising between 2.5 and 3.5 meters.

Similar conditions are expected in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Suez, where wind speeds may reach 40 to 60 km per hour and wave heights may also range from 2.5 to 3.5 meters.

The predicted temperatures for the following cities are 24°C in Cairo, 19°C in Alexandria, 17°C in Marsa Matruh, 28°C in Sohag, 32°C in Qena, and 37°C in Aswan.
