In a horrifying scene, an Egyptian student at Mansoura University killed his female colleague in broad daylight in front of the university gates for refusing his marriage proposal. The girl was stabbed with a knife several times before her killer was handed to the police.
Eyewitnesses said that the killer was a student in the third year at the Faculty of Arts, Mansoura University, adding that he had stabbed the girl, Naiera Ashraf, while she was on her way to the bus stop, heading home to al-Mahalla, where she lives.
When people tried to catch him, he slaughtered her with a knife to her neck. Eventually, he was captured and controlled by security and a passerby.
Eyewitnesses said that the young man wanted to marry the victim, but she refused his offer, so he decided to take revenge on her and had threatened to kill her previously.
The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition, and she passed away before arriving at the hospital. The people handed over the suspect to the police after beating him repeatedly after he committed the crime.
Security forces opened a probe into the horrific incident that took place in the vicinity of Mansoura University, while the ambulance took the girl’s body to the morgue.
